Since 16.0 my airpods wont connect to my AppleTV 4K
holding the button and going to audio does not show my airpods max or my new airpods pro 2. Show nearby airpods is on in settings.
i am signed into iCloud. Tried signing out and back in. restarted the TV. No help.
Both work fine with my phone.

I was able to fix my AirPods not connecting to my Apple TV. It required me to manually connect them. Go to the bluetooth menu in settings on the Apple TV, then open the AirPods case with the AirPods still inside. Hold the button on the back to make it discoverable to bluetooth, and it should show-up on the TV. Checking that they'll automatically connect, I turned the Apple TV off, and on again, and the AirPods now show-up as they used to. Problem apparently solved 🤞!

Exact same issue. Only change was auto update to TVOS 16. Now other new Bluetooth devices are discovered but not my AirPods Pro despite resetting them , restarting all devices, deleting user and re-adding, etc. aOn Apple TV 4. Infuriating
I'm having the same issue. AirPods Pro max has worked with my devices for months. Since I updated to TVOS16 this week I cannot get the TV to find the headphones. My phone and MacBook Pro continue to work as expected.
TVOS 16 wont see airpods.
