Will Apple watch ultra bought in USA works with Indian carrier ?

To remind you, you will probably not get service or warranty from Apple for a device bought outside of your country of residence.

I can share for my cousin who got a series 7 cellular in USA in 2021 and it didn’t work on Airtel in Delhi.

So may ne they hidingly added the bands in the 2022 version which work with carriers in india like series 8 and ultra.

Well that is my basis question. Do we need to convert the existing sim into esim before we can use cellular network on apple watch? All the previous tries have been with a physical sim
