iPhone 14 pro always on display while charging

Always-On display goes dark when you don't need it

To save battery life, the display is completely dark when:

• Your iPhone is lying face down 

• Your iPhone is in your pocket or bag

• Sleep Focus is on

• Low Power Mode is on

• Your iPhone is connected to CarPlay

• You're using Continuity Camera

• You haven't used your iPhone for a while (your iPhone learns your activity patterns and turns the display off and on accordingly, including if you set up an alarm or sleep schedule)

• Your iPhone detects that you moved away from it with a paired Apple Watch (Always-On display will turn on when your Apple Watch is close to your iPhone again)

I too hope this gets an update. I was able to use it for the first few nights and just glance over to see the time. It made the upgrade totally worth it for me from the 13 Pro. Now, it seems silly that I have to touch the screen. Seems like we are going back in time. It should at least be an option for it to turn off at night.

Yes this needs an update to be able to use the phone as a clock at night while it is a charger. Battery drain shouldn't be a problem since it is on a MagSafe charger.
