iPhone 14 Pro Max audio issues

Has anyone had issues with the volume on the phone suddenly lowering down to near non-hearable content on the new iPhone 14 Pro Max? I have owned every single iPhone model and this has never happened to me. I upgraded from iPhone 13 Pro Max. This has happened to many times for me to count. The volume decreases 5-10 seconds while listening to content on the speaker or while connected to Car Play.

This has happened on Audible while listening to books as well as TikTok and music. The event is sudden and unpredictable. Sometimes it will occur every few minutes while listening. I have not made enough phone calls on this phone to see if I am having the reported issues associated. with Car Play.

Following a call with Apple it seems that uninstalling and reinstalling the Zoom App resolved my issues; identified via remote diagnostics. I use the Zoom App for meetings as well as phone calls. I also spent 24 hours with wifi calling turned off, though turning it back on did not bring back the same issues.

I literally just got my iPhone 14 pro max and I cannot hear anyone in n max call volume and they cannot hear me unless I’m in speaker mode. This is incredibly frustrating. I need a phone I can actually talk into and hear from privately. I was in the hospital today and had to have a conversation with my father on speaker phone because using non-speaker mode doesn’t work at all. Brand new phone, doesn’t work.

I have been having a problem with the audio where I realized that keyboard clicks and the lock sound are lower than usual I have owned XsMax and 11 pro max and both have had much higher sound so is that a hardware problem with my phone only? or it’s a software problem?

I have also experienced a glitch with the camera while using third party apps where the screen goes black for a few seconds then it’s would be normal as well as when I zoom there’s always a glitch, and I have never found such a problem while using iPhones for all these past years it’s frustrating so again I’m not sure is that a problem with the software or the hardware ?

My problem is similar. I don’t get good loud clear music from my Beats headset. I’m using Bluetooth and my old I phone 12 pumped amazing quality music through my Beats. I phone 14 pro max is going back if I can’t resolve this. Also it ****** me off that we are being forced to have low sound on something that is ours to enjoy. The safety nuts have overstepped their boundaries once again. I will enjoy my music loud !!!!

I'm having these problems - and unfortunately, I'm in Belize. (Nearest Apple store...800 miles away?) Listening to podcasts on my Bluetooth headphones and volume drops way down...it restarts the podcast or drop it. Super annoying. I talked to Apple again today and the advisor suggested I wait for the next update...that they are dealing with this? Or "addressing it". Since I listen to a few hours of podcasts a day...this is really really really annoying. Especially with a phone I spent over $1400US on. Wah :)

I am a delivery driver (Uber Eats) and I am experiencing a problem where the Uber Driver app sometimes will not play alert sounds through the AirPods Pro. Sometimes it does. It’s a crap shoot. Additionally, sometimes the app is just too quiet playing alerts through the phone speaker, so I think to myself that I must have accidentally turned the phone volume down, but no, it’s at full or almost full volume. Then later, it’s back to normal. Furthermore, the volume on streaming apps like Xfinity Stream is way too loud, so I have to turn down the entire phone because I can’t just turn down that specific app, and then I don’t hear alert sounds. I have also had many text messages arrive and not play any alert (with the phone volume set high), so 20 minutes later I notice I missed a message, sometimes time sensitive. The issue with the Uber Driver app alerts literally costs me money.

Why doesn’t iOS allow me to set (and also lock) volume levels for specific apps?

Here’s another use case: I am talking to my friend using the AirPods, I want to watch a streamed sporting event on the screen while we talk, but the volume of the game is louder than the phone call. I can’t mute or adjust the audio of the game, and turning the volume down turns down both.

It’s astounding that there isn’t a page in settings or Control Center that would show you which apps are sending audio, and have sliders for those apps to control each individually. And like I said before, I rely on the alert sound for my living, so I want to lock the volume level for that app so I won’t miss an offer.
