re-install an Epson 322 printer on a Mac

After a recent holiday, my above printer stopped working when trying to print items from my Mac.

I subsequently installed the latest Mac software update (Monterey) and uninstalled the printer ahead of trying to re- add it as the only printer on my domestic Mac.

The Mac does not allow this and states ' an error occurred while trying to add te selected device. successful-ok-ignored-or-substituted-attributes

I note previous community questions have advised uploading the latest drivers and Mac system compatible updates from Epson (for the relevant printer). I have done all of this but still receive the same error message.

Can anyone help ?

Hi,

An Epson XP-322 is listed in About AirPrint - Apple Support as a model with support for the driverless AirPrint technology. Is this your printer? An AirPrint-enabled model is compatible with macOS and can be used without the need for additional drivers, provided that the printer and the Mac computer are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router).

How is your printer connected? Have you tried AirPrint?

If you are using AirPrint, and there is a problem, you could try the following full procedure (in this order):

Power off the Wi-Fi router, the printer, the Mac, and all other devices/computers. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the router. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the printer. Wait a minute or two. Power on the Mac. Finally, power on all other devices/computers.
