CarPlay not working on my iPhone 13 Pro

I have an iPhone 13, updated to the latest iOS 16 as of September 2022, and my phone will not connect to CarPlay. My significant other’s iPhone has the same iOS update, and connects perfectly fine. The lightning cable works properly, I don’t have CarPlay disabled in settings, I don’t have it disabled when the screen is locked, Siri is on, and I don’t have the screen time application restricting it. On the vehicle side, all software and firmware are up to date, as well as have been shut off and restarted. I’m not sure what else to try, if anyone knows what to do, thank you in advance for helping!

Do you have a VPN? If so, turn it off. Seems to be an issue for some people
