Not receiving some app notifications after Quick Start transfer from iPhone XS to 14 Pro

I did a Quick Start transfer from my old iPhone XS to my new 14 Pro. The transfer worked fine. All the apps, data, and settings transferred.

However, most of the apps aren't sending notifications to my new iPhone. They're still being received on my old iPhone (connected to WiFi). Some apps are sending notifications. I've also deleted and reinstalled a couple apps. When I do, it asks if I want to receive Push notifications. I say yes, and the reinstalled apps are sending notifications.

All the settings are the same. Notifications are turned on.

I've tried turning Notifications off and on for the apps.

I've tried turning the iPhone off and on. I've tried a hard reset.

I've tried turning off the old iPhone.

Current IOS version. Apps are updated. I'm signed into the apps.

Other than deleting and reinstalling all the apps, does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the notifications working with the problem apps?

Thank you.

Hey frozenstate,

Just to confirm, are you receiving notifications after reinstalling the apps and selecting the option to receive 'Push notifications'?

Let's look into some notification settings to make sure that you set how the notifications appears on your iPhone. Since iOS 16, these settings may have changed. This includes alert styles and checking to see if specific apps have notifications disabled:

Change how notifications appear

Requires an iPhone with iOS 16 or later

1. Go to Settings > Notifications.
2. Under Display As, choose how you want notifications to appear on the Lock Screen:Count: Shows the total number of notifications at the bottom of the screen. You can tap the count to see notifications.

- Stack: Shows notifications stacked at the bottom of the screen, with the most recent notification at the top.
- List: Shows notifications in a list.

This article goes over additional steps and information: Use notifications on your iPhone or iPad

Let us know how it goes!

Best regards.

I got the exactly the same problem.

I even tried to reset all settings that every app asked for permission to enable permission again.

It does not work.

Delete and re-install do help, but it is very annoying to do so. Also, I have to check which apps have this problem and reinstall them? Deleting app is not feasible for some apps, e.g. signal which the chat history will be lost.
