iMessage Location Contact Color Rings around Picture when Friend sharing their location
When using iMessage and finding the location for a friend who is sharing their location, what do the different colored rings and different colored dots mean?

We were able to find these steps on sharing location:
"Ask to follow someone's location
To start following another person, you need to first share your location with them. Then follow these steps:
- Open the Find My app and select the People tab.
- Select the person you shared your location with.
- Scroll down and choose Ask To Follow Location, then select OK."

If this doesn't help, can you provide a few more details? Do the dots change colors? Do you see different color dots for different people? Also, which device and OS version are you currently using?
