iPhone 14 pro-switching off music artwork for always on screen

I’ve just got the pro, I like the always on display enough not to disable it but I’ve noticed that the artwork is largely displayed from the song playing in Amazon music or Spotify.

I’ve tried playing with settings but can’t get rid of this. It’s annoying as I don’t want my neighbour at the gym seeing a massive logo broadcasting what logo or song im listening to, or the same if im listening at work. Similarly this visual stays on screen when I’ve finished listening temporarily (paused a track).

Can I remove the ‘now playing’ artwork from the always on screen and just keep the player controls? I’ve noticed the visual is there on the Lock Screen too but I believe it was the same on my old iPhone and I could easily blank the screen and hide this by pressing the side button.

Hi James,

While it is not possible to remove the album artwork from the music control widget on the Lock Screen, we do suggest sharing your feedback with Apple if this is something you'd like to see changed. You can do so by visiting this link: Product Feedback - Apple

Have a great day!
