Omron Connect not displaying steps from Apple Health.

Omron Connect syncs BP without problems but doesn’t upload steps from my Apple Watch. Omron say they can’t help. Anyone else had this problem?

Good day to you Queenofjive,

Take a look at the steps under, ‘Share health and fitness data with apps and devices’ and see if you’re able to make any changes that allow this third-party app to read data syncing from devices on your iPhone. Share your data in Health on iPhone

Share health and fitness data with apps and devices

You can give other apps permission to share health and fitness data with Health. For example, if you install a workout app, its exercise data can appear in Health. The workout app can also read and make use of data (such as your heart rate and weight) shared by other devices and apps. If you didn’t give an app permission to share data with Health when you set up the app, you can give permission later. You can also remove permission from an app.

To share your records from healthcare providers with apps, see Share your health records with other apps.
1. Tap your profile picture or initials at the top right.
If you don’t see your profile picture or initials, tap Summary or Browse at the bottom of the screen, then scroll to the top of the screen.
2. Below Privacy, tap Apps or Devices.
The screen lists the items that requested access to Health data.
3. To change the access for an item, tap it, then turn on or off permission to write data to—or read data from—Health.

Thanks.

Queenofjive,

You mentioned having worked with support for the third-party app in question. Are there any settings within the app that control syncing with the systems on your devices? Had your steps been syncing previously OK and then stopped?

Your profile states that we’re working with watchOS 6 on an Apple Watch Series 2. Though the highest an Apple Watch Series 2 can run is watchOS 6.3, can you verify that is the installed version? Update your Apple Watch  Which version of iOS is installed on your companion iPhone?

Lastly, do your steps reflect in the Health app as expected? Use the Health app on your iPhone or iPod touch

Thanks.
