iPhone 14 pro max

My iPhone 14 pro max seems to be disconnecting from the Mac safe charger at night within minutes of connecting to the charger. Leaving me with the phone not being charged when I wake up in the morning/few hours later. I’m wondering if there is a software issue with the always-on display. Or if it is in the software itself. Anyone else having this issue?
