Cloning Hard Drive

My MacBook Pro needs to got some repairs done. Th keyboard needs to be replaced. While it's gone, I will need another machine to work off of. I have an older trash can Mac Pro that could be a good substitute. I'd like to be able to access my MacBook configuration and all the email and files associated with it. Should I clone my MacBook to an external drive and then work off of the drive until I get my Mac back? Or clone my MacBook and the install that on thee trash can Mac?

They offer a 30 Day Trial and Paid for to keep using it.

Just be certain to use the >>> Legacy Clone feature <<< and this will Clone the existing drive and make it as Bootable

Would run computer from the Clone on External Drive

As for the Other Mac Pro Trash Can machine being able to Run Monterey as per S=Qualifing Computer for Monterey

>>> Mac Pro <<<
