Apple Watch Water Lock Broken Since Update

Since the recent update, the water lock on my watch doesn’t lock the screen and can’t be turned off to eject water. It used to work by turning the crown, and now apparently pushing and holding the crown should work, but that just brings up Siri. How can I fix this?

Hello Pairodachs,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We noticed that you came from How to use Water Lock and eject water from your Apple Watch - Apple Support which is the best article for the issue you've mentioned.

If you've tried those steps and this continues, try restarting and see if the same continues - Restart Apple Watch - Apple Support. This is a simple step but may help to get things working properly again.

If nothing changes after restarting, this sounds like something unexpected that Apple may need to look in to further. Reach out directly from Apple Support.

Take care.
