AirPods Connect Drop calls on iOS 16

Since iOS 16 when connecting AirPods to class, the call drops. This is phone calls or FaceTime calls. If I answer the call and after connect my AirPods, the call drops. Answering call on apple watch, and then putting on my AirPods, drops the call. Anyone else experiencing this?

Hi Yamil,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. We understand you are experiencing an issue with your AirPods. We want to make sure you'e able to use those without issue, and recommend working through the steps to reset them and test if the issue persists.

See how to reset here:

1. Put your AirPods in their charging case, and close the lid.
2. Wait 30 seconds.
3. Open the lid of your charging case.
4. With your AirPods in your ears and connected to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, go to Settings > Bluetooth, or Settings > [your AirPods], and tap the More Info button  next to your AirPods. If you don't see your AirPods in Settings > Bluetooth or in Settings > [your AirPods], just go to the next step.
5. Tap Forget This Device, and tap again to confirm.
6. With the lid open, press and hold the setup button on the back of the case for about 15 seconds, until the status light on the front of the case flashes amber, then white.*
7. Reconnect your AirPods: With your AirPods in their charging case and the lid open, place your AirPods close to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Follow the steps on your device's screen.

You can see more about those steps here: How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro - Apple Support

Thanks.

D. Get and Use the Correct AirPod Pro Eat Tips:

  2. As it reads: "Try inserting the AirPods with the medium-sized ear tips in your ears so that the AirPods are seated comfortably and securely. If you can’t get a good seal, try adjusting the AirPod or switch to a larger ear tip. If the ear tip feels too large in your ear or is uncomfortable, try a smaller ear tip."

This didn’t help. I received a call on my watch, answered it with my AirPods, and it was fine. I went to get my phone and the call dropped. I answered a FaceTime call without my AirPods, it was fine. Looked for my AirPods, put them on, call dropped. Unless I answer with the AirPods already on, my calls drop.
