Transparent network proxy

Why is my Mac asking me for a password for transparent network proxy for apple systems services to use the login keychain?

is this someone trying to hack my computer?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.12

What Proxy...(?)


Verify you are not using SOCKS proxy:

>System Preferences>Networks>Advanced>Proxy uncheck the box


Adware/malware launch daemons can set SOCKS proxies without user participation.

(SOCKS is an Internet protocol that exchanges network packets between a client and server through a proxy server.)



In General—

Disable any VPN or Proxy mcs you are using

Uninstall all third party apps that are Cleaners/Optimizers/Anti-Virus/VPN

Power Cycle your router

Do a safe boot if necessary How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support
