Apple News keeps crashing. I’ve tried all the suggestions (close app/reopen, turn off device/restart, check for updates, etc). It crashes when I am reading stories generally when a new story is posted, but most often crashes when I am going thru saved stories. Is there a way to at least print out the saved stories list? I mainly want to clean out saved stories and start over. Any suggestions? And, yes, I pay for News+.

There are several separate postings of this increasing issue. One recent one by me. Also there is an increasing number of recent 1* reviews on the UK Apple App Store against the News app. I have tried all the listed remedial measures to no avail and have not contacted Apple Support as the agents will only re-iterate these.
I suggest reviewers report this to Apple. Apple support seems inappropriate so I advise using Product Feedback - Apple The Feed Back site allows input with respect to hardware products, iOS & iPad OS, Mac OS Apps, iCloud and lastly SERVICES. The latter includes APPLE NEWS. It is more appropriate to report an obvious bug with the App/iOS than using Official Apple Support who will only talk you through the list of “suggestions” which we have all tried in any case.
I have done all of what you suggested....many many times....other than deleting the app since I would like to keep the saved stories. If you are telling me that deleting the app will bring it back in relative good form (keeping the saved stories), then let me know I will do it. I think the most frustrating part is I am paying for Apple News+ and unable to use it.

I am having the same problem as the others.
I have an iPad, software 16.1.1
Apple News continues to crash.
Have switched off iPad, no change.
Have deleted iPad Apple News app and reloaded, no change.
I was having this issue on iPad 6, but not on my 2017 iPad Pro, so I thought it might have to do with insufficient memory on the iPad 6. News app was crashing every few minutes but all other apps were fine. Tried everything, including completely wiping iPad and setting up as new; nothing helped.
But I think it might have been fixed in iPadOS 16.2. It's only been a day, but no crashes yet. Anyone else noticed this on 16.2?
As I have posted elsewhere I found that uninstalling the news app and then downloading OS16.2 on my 9.7” iPad Pro that once complete and the News App then installed again that I having no issues anymore.
I was finally able to correct this problem on an iPhone 11 running iOS 15.7 by Clearing my History!
In the News App/Following/History/Clear
Seems like a fix that would work under other configurations as well.
