If you use a random wi-fi such as McDonalds free, does your information go on McDonalds i cloud or is there an i cloud specifically for your personal iPhone ?

If you use a random free word fi, does your personal info, pictures etc. go to whoever’s wi-fi it is or does your personal device have its own iCloud separate from whoever’s WiFi you connect to

iPhone 11, iOS 14

Hey 2brnot2b,

When you connect to a Wi-Fi network other than your own, you may have to agree to their terms and conditions. We advise that you take precautions while using a public Wi-Fi network or another private Wi-Fi network other than your own. What data and other information may be collected are up to the network owner and we recommend that you look carefully through the terms and conditions page.

You can check out this article for more info: Connect to Wi-Fi on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

We hope this helps!

Best regards.
