Because iCloud would not be syncing with your device. And, as a result, it would be inaccessible.

• Disabling iCloud syncing on the iPhone:

• Tap: All Items so that they are greyed-out.

Disabling iCloud ringing on the iPhone:

1. Go to: Settings
2. Tap: Your Name (Top Item)
3. Tap: iCloud
4. Scroll to: APPS USING ICLOUD
5. Tap: All Items so that they are greased out.
