I can not close photos there is a X in red dot stopping me from closing I can use the amber dot ok also the green dot

I can not close photos there is a X in the red dot, on the bottom bar there is a dot under photos I have right clicked on quit but no success

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

Try force quitting the app by pressing command, option, and esc. Then select photos and click force click.
