Can you make the "photos" box bigger when using messages on Mac?

Can you make the "photos" box bigger when using messages on Mac? When I try and send photos on my 27" screen the photos icon comes up as 2x3inches

Double clicking opens up the preview window and shows images in the same size. There's an option to add it to photos but I don't want to do that with most pictures I get by text. I can't enlarge the photo from Whstsapp When there is more than one photo from Whatsapp, I can't zoom in when I want to enlarge the photo. While this situation occurs in some people, it doesn't happen in some people. I cant click it

No, but you can drag the pic from Photos to the eMail you're composing.
