You can use a Bluetooth keyboard and screen mirroring might be what you’re looking for

Use AirPlay to stream video or mirror the screen of your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support



That said, an ipad is NOT a regular computer and you may find limits that are frustrating - such as printing and file transfers.


personally, for around the same amount of money I’d go for a macbook instead of an iPad Pro. You’ll have more flexibility.
