Wanted to download Xcode, but keep getting prompt 'no space in the disk' even after buying 2T icloud. What can go wrong?

iCloud+ storage is a place to offload what won’t fit locally (and what can’t just be deleted), and iCloud+ storage not an extension to local storage.

Apps must reside in local storage to be used, which means local storage is required.

Which means offloading or deleting more of what is currently occupying local storage.
