I just received an e mail with a QuickTime attachment. How do I view it?
Why do you need QuickTime anytime? So you can view a video that is emailed to you in QuickTime format.
I need to be able to view and save this QuickTime file. When I click on the attachment, I get the message "Mail cannot open this file"
Cant access video from this site on my ipad 2. http://www2.ucsc.edu/scpbrg/nestcamSF_large.htm. Site is prompting me to download QT
Generally, there is not the right version of Quicktime for iPad in App Store. But you can convert a video from quicktime for iPad on your Mac OS X or Windows computer.

This can only be done by purchasing an external HDMI recorder; for example, the Blackmagic Design Intensity Extreme if you have a Mac with TB or Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle for USB 3.0 if you have a PC with USB3. They're the cheapest HDMI recorders - other recorders are about three times more expensive (around 700-1000 USD).
VGA recorders (as opposed to HDMI ones) are at least three times more expensive so they're not the way to go.
Let me know if you need more info on HDMI capturing.
If there's no quicktime available, how to record the screen of my iPad Pro, please?
