Hi vaneck2000,
Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today.
We'd suggest isolating the issue a little bit more. How does the mic do with an Apple app like FaceTime? Does the same issue occur? If it doesn't the issue may lie with the third-party apps.
Also check the privacy settings: Control access to the microphone on Mac
"Some apps and websites can use the microphone on your Mac to capture or record audio. You can decide which apps are allowed to use the microphone.
- On your Mac, choose Apple menu
> System Preferences, click Security & Privacy
, then click Privacy. - Select Microphone.
- Select the checkbox next to an app to allow it to access the microphone.
- Deselect the checkbox to turn off access for that app.
- If you turn off access for an app, you’re asked to turn it on again the next time that app tries to use your microphone.
Note: The Recording Indicator light in Control Center shows you when your computer’s microphone is in use or has been used recently. This light increases security and privacy on your Mac by letting you know if an app has access to the microphone. The light turns on when you open the Sound Input pane in Sound System Preferences."
Have a fantastic day!
