How do I make gmail in safari my default share email?

I want to share a webpage by emailing it. I select email, and it opens Firefox instead of Safari, and I'm not able to send the email. So how can I get it to use Safari instead of Firefox to open my Gmail and send the webpage I want to share?

Change the default browser to Safari, and the default email app to Mail: Change the default web browser or email app on your Mac - Apple Support


In Mail, change "Send new messages from:" to the email account you wish to use: Change Composing preferences in Mail on Mac - Apple Support
