Cloning sheets in Numbers

Hi There. I have a sheet in numbers that I need to display in several ways using the sort command. However it is laborious re-sorting the sheet each time, as each view has multiple layers in the sort command. Is there a way to clone the reference sheet (contents and formats) such that any changes to it are automatically reflected to the cloned copies (which will have different sort commands applied).

If have used the = command to clone individual cells across sheets, but this fails to copy the format (e.g. background colour) and new data in the reference sheet is not propagated automatically.

I am trying to make the reference sheet the "single source of truth".

Cheers

Hi derole,

In the reference sheet, click on the down arrow (the v) on the tab to reveal a menu.

Choose Duplicate. That will duplicate the contents (cell data), the formulas and the formats.

Sorting the new table may not do what you want, depending upon the formulas in the cells.

More details on what you want to achieve will help us to help you.

Regards,

Ian.
