I had this issue, and this is the solution that worked for me. Oddly, you must have "Find my iPhone" enabled to be able to see the AirPods in Find My. I had my iPhone location disabled and only had my MacBook on Find My, and could not get the AirPods to show no matter what I did. Turned on location for my iPhone, turned Find My back off and on for the Airpods, and they showed up instantly. Hope this helps.

Hello JAPaisley,

Thanks for reaching out to us in Apple Support Communities about your AirPods not showing in Find My. We're happy to help by looking into this more!

Here's a resource that can help: Turn on the Find My network - Apple Support

1. Wear your AirPods, and make sure they’re connected to your device.
2. Go to Settings , then tap the name of your AirPods near the top of the screen.
3. If you don’t see the name of your AirPods, tap Bluetooth, then tap the Actions Available button next to the name of your AirPods.
Scroll down, then turn on Find My Network.

If you try these steps and still have issues, let us know and we can continue to help.

Best Regards.

Use of "Find My" and AirPods:

If Find My was enabled on a device these are synced with, then you may be able to find them there. Note that this is based off of the last time the device they were connected to that was itself connected to the Internet. This is because they do not have their own IP Address. So, use a site like Mapquest to backtrack to this location.
