Audio/video out of sync in instagram app

Audio/video out of sync in instagram app, there’s a delay in sound and video in reels in instagram.

I tried closing and reopen the app

I did restart my device

Checked for updates

nothing helps

Audio/Video out of sync For some reason recently when I play videos on my Ipad, be them from youtube or netflix the audio is slightly behind the video. My iphone doesn’t seem to have this problem. I have restarted the IPad, updated it to the newest OS, made sure both netflix and youtube are completely updated. This problem also happens if I try to play a video on chrome on youtube not through the app. I have no idea what is going on. Anyone have any idea what could be happening, and more importantly how to fix it??

Instagram overrides my sound preferences I have always kept my phone permanently muted - i.e. the switch on the side is set to off. This meant that when I scrolled through insta there was no sound (unless I clicked on a post by choice to turn the sound on). This works fine. But now when I watch the reels in my feed the sounds comes on automatically and I can only turn it off by lowering the volume (which of course means I have to turn it back up for listening to music etc - or worse if I forget I was playing music when I go back to insta I get noise that don't want or need). I have two questions: Is there a solution to this other than deleting instagram? If not then Why does Apple seemingly allow some app providers to override the express preferences of the users? Mute means mute surely? Would welcome everyones thoughts

About iOS 16.4 I downloaded the ios 16.4 update to my phone. When I enter Instagram after downloading, I cannot hear the sound of the videos I watch. Could this be due to the update?
