iOS 16 is supposed to have added a feature to recover deleted text messages in the message app, when clicking on edit. But the option doesn’t appear after I installed iOS 16. Need help.

iOS 16 is supposed to have added a feature to recover deleted text messages in the edit button of Messages. I don’t see it after installing the iOS 16. Anyone know where to find it?

You can not undelete messages that were deleted prior to upgrading to iOS 16. Those are gone forever.

It doesn't automatically appear. You have to delete messages in order for the "show recently deleted" to show up.
