shortcuts automation failed: took too long to run

I have a shortcuts automation that plays a song from my music library when the battery level is 100%.

I want to be notified so I can unplug the charger. See settings below.

The automation is working, but it keeps generating an error about 5 minutes after it's done.

I usually stop the song from playing a few seconds after it starts.

"automation failed: took too long to run"

Is this a bug? I think this was also happening in iOS 15.

I already tried deleting and recreating the shortcut which didn't fix it.

Here's the error.

I noticed under Scripting there's a Stop this shortcut action.

I'll add that to the automation to see if that fixes the timeout error.

I ran the same automation on an iPad mini 4 running iPadOS 15.7.

It ran with no error.

So the above error could be an iOS 16 bug, although it could also be a bug specific to the iPhone 12.

P.S. the Stop this shortcut action made no difference.
