captions not working apple tv

purchased tv show (Kieler Street) subtitles not working!!!!

Subtitles and closed captions are different, although they have much in common. Captions are an accessibility feature (when available in the stream), and subtitles are not (when available in the stream). Studios may not have to include either, if not mandatory by local rules. I can’t check what is available for audio language and captions/subtitle languages for TV shows in other countries, as it is not listed in the public web pages for that show [AU*] on iTunes.

Please see what options are available in the stream, during playback, as described in: Change subtitles or languages for videos in the Apple TV app or iTunes Store - Apple Support.


*assuming Australia, based on your mention of SBS.
