Iwatch has cellular yet disconnects if away from phone so FRUSTRATING I’m new to this please help

Why does series 8 iwatch With cellular disconnect when away from iPhone. Bluetooth and Cellular are connected

My cellular will not work on I watch. i have Verizon linked to the watch but it is listed as active but will not connect via cellular on iwatch. It has a “!” Next to it. I have tried all basic troubleshooting and will not work. It is a new iwatch and worked for the first week then stopped.

Incoming call fails on Apple Watch with cellular. I have an SE iWatch with cellular (version 9.6). My watch started showing "Called Failed" on in-comming calls. I rebooted my watch and iPhone at which time my iWatch did not take in-comming calls. I went to the watch app on my iPhone and clicked on cellular. I then clicked on my cellular plan which gave me a pop-up to manage or remove the plan. I clicked on manage the plan and the app appeared to reload the plan. I tried an in-comming call and the watch worked correctly. Not sure why the cellular was missing of lost.

Thank you, I have it all set up. As a matter of fact, AT&T set it up for me :)
