Force quitting not working series 8

I just recently purchased a new series 8 watch. Everytime i open an app on it it doesn’t give me the option to swipe out of it and close it when I press the side button. It’s a little bug but it can get quite annoying. I was wondering is anyone else has been running into this issue on the series 8.

First try resetting the watch and that helps sometimes;

Depress and hold the crown and side button until the Apple logo appears. Nothing is lost

Next would be to unpair the watch and re setup the watch. Sometimes setting up as new works better than restoring from backup
