Siri hearing something else

When I try to use Siri, the siri bubble hears something else. When i'm around complete silence, the bubble acts as if i'm surrounded by lots of noise.

Hi cookie-clicker69,

Thanks for posting in Apple Communities.

We understand that Siri is not working correctly. To address the behavior, start by restarting iPhone if you have not done so already. Check that you have updated to iOS 16.0.2. The newer update has several performance fixes.

Make sure that Siri is set up to recognize your voice.

Go to Settings.
Tap Siri & Search.
Turn off Listen for "Hey Siri," then turn it back on.
When the Set Up "Hey Siri" screen appears, tap Continue.
Say each command that you see on your screen.
Tap Done.

Find these and other Hey Siri troubleshooting steps in If "Hey Siri" isn't working on your iPhone.

If this continues, contact Apple Support to look into this further.

Regards.
