Touchscreen not working after iOS update

I recently upgraded my iPhone XS to iOS 16.0.2 and the touch screen is not responsive. I thought this update was supposed to fix those issues. Issue persists after erasing all content and settings. Did this happen to anyone else?

This issue is happening to me as well. I have an iPhone XR.

There is a workaround. By enabling Touch Accommodation. But it's a terrible workaround, the swipe and touch features feel like Android 10 years ago. It's still laggy and not as responsive as it was with iOS 15.

I also found out that if you upgrade to iOS 16.0.2, you will not be able to revert to iOS 15 anymore.

So I'm left with a new upgrade but feels like it broke my phone.

I contacted Support. And they are assistance is terrible. They recommended to wait for another update and "perhaps" it will fix it.
