How to fix preview not working with spacebar

Preview isn't working in macOS Monterey 12.6 on my 27" iMac 2020. When I use the spacebar. A blue box is placed around the item and it doesn't open. If I press twice the selection I want to preview delays and a program is opened to view my selection instead of a preview. I've done the Activity monitor and deleted Quicklook , didn't work, and ran Disk First Aid which worked until I shut down and restarted. This just randomly started a few days ago. Any idea how to fix it?

See if "Enable Full Keyboard access" is enabled in System Preferences > Accessibility > Keyboard. If so, disable it.
