Im running iOS 15.7 on my iPhone 13 pro max, my 2011 macbook pro is only running High Sierra 10.13.6. I have not updated reminders on my iphone as I know it will not sync with reminders on my MacBook pro running Sierra. My question, if I update my phone to iOS 16 will reminders still sync with High Sierra 10.13.6 reminders?

Running an iPhone 14 with iOS 16.0.2 with Two Computers Monterey 12.6 and Reminders works fine.
Also running antique Mac Mini from 2011 and the best it can do in High Sierra - Reminder does not Sync with iOS 16 nor Monterey 12.6

If the user wishes to explore the Apple Trading In option where the Value of the exiting machine could be used against the cost of a new Apple Computer
Or Shop Refurbished Apple computers at an Apple Reduced Cost
Have used both previously and have been satisfied each time.

Running 2 computers with macOS 13.0.1 Ventura, 1 computer stuck with mcOS 10.13.6High Sierra and an iPhone 14 with iOS 16.1.1.
The computer with High Sierra syncs everything except Reminder on High Sierra which does not sync
No not a rhetorical question. I have High Sierra on a macbookpro. I do not like the changes in higher versions. Mail is horrible. So I only ask because I may upgrade to ios16 as mail in ios15 is also bad and always opens the same email over and over. I hope ios16 fixed this.
Technically, the user ( you ) has the choice to upGrade the computer to a newer version of macOS that this Apple Computer Qualifies to run.

Both the above are a Users Choice.
The choices are running out as safari will no longer search on YouTube and Certain features are lacking. Also my photoshop will not run on newer OSs. This means I would have to buy a subscription version which I do not want. So we will have to balance. Also the newer OSs are slow on the 2015 MacBook Pro. I like the USB and magnet cable. Not sure why these were lost. USB is still useful.

Yea but I have a 2011 MacBook pro and the highest I can run is OS 10.13.6. so I haven't hit the update button on reminders on my iPhone because once I do it will no longer sync with my laptop running 10.13.6. because its too old. So my question is if I update my iPhone to iOS 16 will reminders automatically update or will the blue update button still be there because until I can afford a new laptop I need my reminders to sync to my 2011 macbook pro running 10.13.6. Otherwise Ill just keep running iOS 15.7.1 on my iPhone and not upgrade to iOS 16.
Oh yea everything syncs from iPhone 13 running 15.7.1 with my 2011 MacBook pro running OS 10.13.6 but I know if I push the update button on notes on my iPhone it will no longer sync with my 2011 because the OS on the MacBook is too old. So right now everything sync and I have not pushed the update button in reminders but I want to update iPhone to iOS 16 but I won't if reminders will no longer sync with older OS 10.13.6
Also that is odd because my 2011 MacBook pro running high sierra 10.13.6 and iPhone 13 pro max running 15.7.1 syncs safari info and keychains no problem. My main concern is in my previous comment to you, if I upgrade to iOS to 16 will reminders still sync with my 2011 MacBook pro with high sierra 10.13.6 or will reminders no longer sync.

A - Update is not the same as upGrade, at least not in terms of versions of macOS or iOS.
A - An update is where macOS 10.13.5 is updated to version 10.13.6. The some principal applies to iOS
A - An upGrade in either macOS or iOS and the whole Operating System is upGraded and with that comes New Versions of various Button on Applications. In your case " Reminder" app for iOS 16 will be upGraded .

Does anything sync? Notes. Calendars. iCloud Drive? Right now I have ios15.7.1 and high Sierra. Everything syncs except safari info and keychains.
