This is only in two emails received today both from same sender.
When I forward them to another of my email addresses and view them in Edison Mail they are fine.
Just not in apple Mail. Not sure what the problem could be.
Someone else asked this a few years ago and got no replies.
Any help would be appreciated.

Just to confirm, were these emails sent to your iCloud email account? If so, then to isolate the issue further we'd like to have you try and view the email from your iCloud account at this link here: iCloud - Apple

Thanks. In that case, you'll need to work with the sender of those emails to see about using a different format when they compose those messages.

Emails showing as 1 or 2 characters per line.
