Set up your phone number

Go to Settings > Messages and make sure iMessage is turned on. ...
Tap Send & Receive. ...
In the "You can receive iMessages to and Reply From" section, make sure your phone number and Apple ID are selected.

It is added automatically on your device after the enable eSIM or you insert a Physical SIM if your iPhone is unlocked
