Just bought a new iPhone 11. Data's gone across from old phone but the News App refuses to function - won't let me sign in or register. Deleted old app and downloaded a new one from Apple. When I opened it from the Apple Store worked fine though had to change my password. Since then it's gone back to not letting me open it through my password or register. dead as a DoDo. Have rebooted the phone. Still no luck. Any help out there?

Hi there, It's not my Apple ID I'm having trouble with. It's the BBC News app. It won't work on my new iPhone 11. Have deleted it and re-downloaded it twice. Have rebooted my mobile and still no luck. The App when downloaded asks me to either sign in or register. Tapping either option just does nothing. It was working perfectly on my old iPhone7 and came across OK. But now it just won't work on this iPhone. My phone is operating on 16.0.2. When I re-download from the Apple store and it asks you if you want to open it from there, it works fine, but the minute I try to use it from my iPhone it won't. Seems to me that the phone and the app just aren't communicating with each other.
