Display flickering issue
How to disable Variable refresh rate permanently?
My monitor does not support switching off adaptive sync.
Mac resets back to VRR and this causes flickering. Such a annoying experience.

Hey anvayanu,
Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities. We're happy to help with your external displays refresh rate.
Does the reset occur after disconnecting/reconnecting your external display?
Try following these steps:
1-" Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Displays.
2- Click Display Settings.
3- Select your external display in the sidebar.
4- Choose Variable from the Refresh Rate pop-up menu. To stop using Adaptive Sync, choose one of the fixed refresh rates instead."

Hi!
Having the same issue here, most of the times the MacBook goes to sleep (either connected to the wall or on battery), the refresh rate resets to variable. I had figured out by researching on the web the solution you provided, but it's only a temporary solution.
Thanks in advance!
