Watch Hacked

I purchased a watch for my wife. She no longer wants it so I would like to pair it with my phone. She signed onto her ID and unpaired. However, the watch is now paired to another phone and I have no idea who's phone it is.

Can’t pair watch to iPhone due to previos owner account. He did not log out as recommended l. Once I try to connect the watch to the phone is asking about a password. But it shows an Apple ID witch it was from previos owner. Any suggestions? I have not contact with the previos owner.

Unknown watch paired to my phone I accidentally realized last night that I had an Apple Watch paired to my phone that I didn’t put there. The watch was named Elaina s Apple Watch and the location had been seen yesterday morning. I noticed it in my devices in the find my friend location area. I don’t know how long this has been there. Is renter a way to figure out who paired it?
