New watch 8 will not pair to my phone.

New watch will not pair to my phone. It starts pairing then says unpairing.

Start here if you are unable to pair to your new Watch. If your Apple Watch isn't connected or paired with your iPhone - Apple Support

Make sure that you have at least an iPhone 8 running iOS 16 or above.
