Was it printed from a browser? If so, reopen that browser and try to re-access the page from the browser history. It might even still be an open window in the browser.

You mentioned that you could see the file in your previous message. However, you're not able to actually open it, correct? If so, do you happen to have a Time Machine backup that you could restore from that would have the document prior to when you printed it? If so, you may be able to restore the backup or even local snapshots. The resources below will walk you through both of those options to help with restoring that document, if these options are available for you.

It seems like you would repeat the steps you used to print the document in the first place.
