instagram won't open after I updated oct 4

my instagram app won't open after I updated on my phone

it flashes open but then shuts immediately

tried powering my phone off & then reopening wouldn't

tried opening a notification from instagram didn't work

Instagram app wont open My IG app stopped working last night and shuts down anytime i hit the app. I have done everything from uninstalling to restarting my phone to software updates. Nothing is working.
