Apple Watch SE cellular keeps losing cellular connection (Verizon)
A week ago I bought both my kids the 2nd generation Apple Watch SE cellular for them to use to contact me when they are away from me (ie school, with family, at sports practice). I set them both up, activated both with Verizon and tested them out. They both worked. However, twice within the last week they have dropped the cellular connection when not at our house. One time my son was at a football game and I realized I couldn’t track him as soon as he left the house. Half an hour later I took my daughter to gymnastics and her watch did the same thing. Since hers was with me I was able to get pictures of the red x, and I restarted the watch, and disconnected and reconnected cellular. When my son got home later that evening I did the same thing to his.
Now a week later my son told me it had a red x the entire time he was at school. Once we got home it looked fine. We then left for baseball practice and once again the watch shows a red x. Why are they randomly dropped cell service?
I bought the watches through Costco, activated through Verizon, they both have apple care. We have excellent service where we are, it’s not a reception issue. Both times I have had to restart the watches to get them to connect, they have stayed disconnected the entire time otherwise. They are both up to date on software updates.
