Why does it take so long for payment to Apple Card to be deducted from my bank??

Why does it take so long for payments to my Apple Card to be deducted from my bank? Sometimes it’s as long as 5 or 6 days. It’s 2022, and I’ve got to carry a 1970’s style “checkbook” around with my $1,200 IPhone to keep track of my bank balance. No other card does this. All the rest - payments are deducted from my bank INSTANTLY.
