Spacebar Preview No Longer Previews - Instead - Open in Finder Button - How can I revert this?

For some weeks, my spacebar preview has changed to a thumbnail of the image/file and an 'Open with.... [Preview/Photos/etc]' button, which will literally launch the file in the program. This isn't an effective use for things like viewing a series of photos in iMessage, etc.

How can I get this reverted? Control clicking finder does not work. Restarting does not work. Software update does not work. Quitting all apps does not work.

Running 2021 M1 Pro Macbook Pro with Mac OS Monterey 12.5.1.

That may work, but digging through other support threads I found control+option clicking and then relaunching the apps and finder solves the issue as well. Thank you.
