Top Gun: Maverick still not playing in glorius 4k

Its allmost 2 months from release nown and movie is still playing at poor resolution. Not even displaying 4k resolution when film is playing.

Thanks for posting in Apple Communities.


We understand that your movie is not playing in the 4K resolution.

By default, you rent, purchase, and play back iTunes videos in the highest resolution possible, which requires a fast internet connection. If you have a slower connection, select Video Resolution and choose Good.

You can find these and additional details in Change iTunes movie and TV show settings on Apple TV - Apple Support. You may need to adjust the resolution settings on your TV.

Done that few times before, and now again. First time i got answer from support and i just get same bla bla things as "check your internet speed, tv settings and etc" but thats not the issue. I think there went something wrong when i preordered movie, dunno. But i preordered GB: Afterlife and there were no issues at all and movie works fine.


Hope to get this fixed soon.
