So recently I traded my games system for a iPhone 12 mini later to find out that it has a activation lock from the previous owner that I couldn’t get in contact with so I can have the previous owner to have them remove it, so research that The Apple Support Community can help me with my problem.

Hello ~ That is the activation lock. If the person/persons that you bought the iPhone from cannot or will not remove it …the iPhone is basically useless to you. If they cannot/will not remove it…return it and get your money back. We cannot help remove it nor can Apple. Take a look here:

Sounds like a scam. Unfortunately, nobody can unlock it for you except the original owner.
If you can, return it and get a refund. If not, the iPhone is useless to you. It can be recycled at any Apple Store.
Nobody on these boards can unlock it, and nobody at Apple will. It's an anti-theft measure.
